RETROTOURS 2025 PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE
Ten spots available. We’ll ride 25 miles at a time, then stop for a short social break and bike swap if desired. Mostly at or just above the posted speed limit. This is the perfect way to sample some old bikes and make some new, like-minded friends without stressing your head or your body. Under 150 miles in all. The all-inclusive price includes gas, 3 meals and unlimited fun.
Two 150 mile days through central Pennsylvania coal country include a coal mine tour, wide open back roads, and an eclectic collection of bikes and, well, just about everything. Covered bridges, Amish folk, and vintage bikes make for a very enjoyable weekend.
June 28, 29............................Saturday-Sunday..................................Couples Tour
Bikes chosen for two-up comfort, or maybe you both ride. The sidecar can carry baggage. Upscale accommodation. 150 miles max each day. Fine dining in historic Lewisburg. Bucolic Central PA and the Susquehanna River up close on the oldest continuously operating ferry in the USA. You will both love it!
July 25, 26, 27.......................Friday, Saturday, Sunday....................Motorcylepedia
The Delaware Water Gap, the ‘Alps of northwestern New Jersey’, and the call of the Catskills. WOODSTOCK! Over 450 motorcycles on display including one of every year original Indian. The roads up and back are simply phenomenal. Enjoy dinner in Newburg, overlooking the Hudson River.
August 16, 17, 18..................Saturday, Sunday, Monday................Redneck Gyro #15
There is a reason why this adventure is running for the 15th straight year. West Virginia really is Almost Heaven for riding. We shoot for the Canaan Valley, a unique high plateau with a decidedly Canadian climate and eco-system. This is the southernmost ski resort in the east. In August, we plan to find a luxurious vacation home to stay in.
September 12, 13, 14, 15....Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday....The Curtiss Museum
The Finger Lakes region of New York is home to the Glen Curtiss Museum. He was an aviation pioneer and motorcyclist. In addition to early aircraft, the museum houses his V8 motorcycle land speed-record holder: 136 mph on the beaches of Daytona in 1907! We stay in northern PA and visit the Grand Canyon of PA, crossing into southern NY to Lake Keuka. A great ride to an intriguing destination.
Essentially two one-day tours with overnight accommodation right here at RetroTours Central. You can do either day or both. Relaxed pace and 150 miles or less each day. We head south on day one and north on Sunday. There will be enough bikes prepared so that a different ‘fleet’ sails each day. Expect awesome foliage as try then all!
A 200-mile round trip up and down both sides of the southern Susquehanna River takes us to Columbia, where a mile-long bridge played a major role in the outcome of the Civil War. River Road is one of my favorite routes, and we break up the ride with lunch at the foot of the bridge and also visit several spots that were significant to the indigenous people of this area. There is also a Shoe House...really!
